The man and cat teleported to the spacecraft that had been hidden with a cloaking shield. The cat named commander Fuzzy Bottom because of uneven hair growth told the man to look for the pilot while he sabotaged the ship. Commander Fuzzy Bottom used his specially designed hair to infiltrate all the equipment which had the properties to stop any moving parts and cause overheating can stop even the most highly advanced technology. The man was named Scrubs and was one of the elite trained soldier units.
The pilot was a tiny squid looking thing and was not going to put up a fight. This was a small scout ship sent out to scope out Earth for invasion. Commander Fuzzy Bottom successfully damaged the ship with his fur. They teleported back to Earth with the Pilot for interrogation to see what plans the invaders had. This was not the first scout ship they had disabled and probably would not be the last. Earth took a lot of protecting but once the cats had joined forces with the humans 500 hundred years when the refuge ships came to Earth. Cats had always been on earth but those were wild cats that were descendants of the first ship to crash on earth. Those cats had found home on earth and used their advanced technology to bring Earth into a golden age and that was causing a lot of attention from other civilizations that like to invade planets. This was not the first time cats had to deal with this but they had lost their home because of bird like aliens that chased away and they took a stand on earth.
Commander Fuzzy Bottom was a gray striped cat with a white belly. He had joined the service because he hated farming even though most of his family were farmers and He wanted to do something different and he could not sit on a keyboard all day in the office. The world had changed alot since the cats made earth their new home but luckily their wild ancestors had settled the humans pretty well. Most of earth was farmland with a few great cities left. Cloned meat had helped feed the world but natural food was still a big draw. Some of the cats had become farmers and that is where most of the wild born cats lived now because wild cats had to be taken care of by qualified care takers and there were a few families that had grandfathered in. Wild cats were considered a great honor to have if you were a human and meant you had past the test. Some joined the military to get a better chance of getting a wild cat in fact. One human and one cat were always paired together in case there were doors to open. Space cats had special technology that could do almost anything and of course they could talk. NYC was full of space cats because small apartments were big enough for them. Some of the space cats wanted to get closer to their ancestors and hunted rats during the long weekend off. This worked well for the city and kept the pest population down. They had to wear orange vests while hunting so they would not shoot each other. Abandoned subways became big money making places because cats would run wild and talk of the old days and in fact encounter wild cats there. Vets became specialized and some space cats were vets which is funny to take your cat to a cat. Catnip became popular for the young cats on the techno party scene. There were some very famous cat DJs including Purr&Puss.
Commander Fuzzy bottom was asking the squid questions about their plans to invade earth. The scouts were well trained and almost never gave anything away but you had to try and sometimes you could get data from the computer. The squids as they were called but not their real name which were Caldorians but they looked like squids from earth oceans. That is why they wanted to flood the whole planet and live in our oceans that were finally clean again.
The data from the computer of the ship showed they were spying on our forcefield generators. The whole planet was wrapped up in one and it kept us safe from surprise attacks.
Command Fuzzy bottom waited for his partner Scrubs to come back from the briefing. Scrubs was ready to go on patrol again; he loved keeping earth safe from squids.
The earth changed alot since the space cats came to earth and it was shocking to humans at first that cats were talking to them and they had advanced technology that changed how humans saw the world and the space cats needed a home. Humans could hardly say no to the bargain of getting advanced space technology but there were so many changes to Earth once the space cats came to Earth but diseases and pollution disappeared over night or it seemed like that. Cats like a meat diet so farms took over most of the earth very quickly but the world adapted to it. The machines cleaned the air and water. Farming was one of the gifts they brought with them and could make any land fertile. Bananas even got brought back with the cats’ help though no cats ate them. Space cats did drink coffee though with extra cream so lots of more cows. The cats’ space enemies also came after them.
The squids were always trying to get to the ocean and some might have even snuck in the ocean but who is going to search the whole ocean for them? We could take a few in the ocean but the squids want to take the whole planet and drown it. Cats and people being against being flooded had to patrol the planet with vigilance.
A storm was coming across the atmosphere not a normal storm but a space storm that will cause outages for hours because of solar radiation. This made the planet more vulnerable to squids attacking. Commander Fuzzy Bottom and Scrubs got in there to do a patrol of the open skies while there was an outage. They watched their instruments to make sure no alien ships were about to sneak in.
The screen buzzed with blaring alarms as a large ship entered within range of the sensors in orbit at the moon. This ship was not a scout but a battle class ship ready to teleport a squandern of squids to the ocean to achieve their mission of flooding the planet and taking over. Commander Fuzzy Bottom and Scrubs knew they had to act fast during the solar storm. They called up a few other ships to help chase them out of the solar system. They used a standard formation around the squid ship and shot some low powered shots at it as a warning. The squid ship responded by firing full power shots back at them and they used their number of small fast ships to outflank the ship and fire at them until they had reduced the squids shields to a half and chased it away out of the solar system. The patrol ships returned for repair and reports.
Commander Fuzzy Bottom and Scrubs returned to earth and had some dinner and coffee. They had saved Earth another day. They set quietly and looked at each with the relief that comes after a hard day and just stared out the window at the giant blue marble we call Earth.
